What to Expect
What happens at an appointment:
Once we’ve decided on a time that works for your schedule, the first thing I like to do is walk around the entire house/apartment/office to see the whole space, get a feel for what areas need attention, and see what furniture and organizing tools (containers, etc.) are available.
Then we decide where to start based on what is bothering you the most.
Some people choose to work on a room they use frequently like the kitchen and some people choose the basement, attic or another storage space since those spaces usually store more items that aren’t being used frequently and can more likely be donated or thrown away. It all depends upon what you would like accomplished in the space(s) you choose.
How long does this take?
The average time I spend with people varies, depending upon the size of the project, what you want accomplished during our time together, and your personal decision style. By this I mean, some people find it difficult to get rid of belongings, and because I don’t pressure people, it may take extra time to work through the process of learning to let go of items in order to find the peace of mind that an organized and de-cluttered space brings. Therefore, I aim to go at your pace, but always with the goal of moving forward. Whatever your goal is, I simply charge by the hour so that you can be in control of how much you want to spend.
